Yes of course but Hollywood always think we need some super funny comical relief in action movies or else it gets too serious. Yes a bit too much but I don’t think people would’ve liked a serious Jar-Jar either. ;P
I know a lot of people didn’t like him for whatever reason, but for some reason or another, I kind of liked the guy. Can’t explain it, but for some reason I never really got all the hat that was directed at him, thought he was kind of funny, and added an element of ‘something’ to it, can’t really explain just what, but it was there anyway. But that’s just me, and I was entertained by him where others just flat didn’t like the guy. To each his own I guess.
