If they popped our magnetosphere or bubble and destroyed our atmosphere, none of the living things on earth would survive. I mean I don’t want to just nitpick a movie but that’s kind of a huge plot hole.
Not to mention it really is just showing humans belief we are different than our fellow earthlings of all species. Which we are not, and are intricately a part of and them us. All of earth works in a giant system that needs all the steps.
But maybe this is the conclusion they wanted people to start seeing because of the spread of this silly flat earth nonsense. (& also to look at our place and what that may look like from the outside to another species.)
Anyway I enjoyed it ! I am glad i waited for an hd version for sure! 🌎 Earthling out! ✌
