In what way? It’s very much in the vein of Torchwood. I love RTD because his stories are more grounded but I’m not seeing anything different.

I don’t see how you get anything of Torchwood in this, I’m not seeing it. Seems to me to be a totally different animal. Whole premise is different. You said this wasn’t going to be anything groundbreaking, and I have watched a LOT of science fiction over the decades, and have yet to see anyone do anything quit like this before. So far it’s pretty good. That does not mean that it might not start sucking at some point, that would all depend on the writers and how they develop this. It could well go on to be good, or bad. Oy some place in the middle.
