I was a fan of Tom’s, but after watching the 2020 golden globes, and seeing the fear and shame he showed, not anymore. Ricky Gervais exposed them all for what they really are. From Epstein to Weinstein, to you have no right to say anything to anyone about anything, none of you live in the real world. Tom Hanks looking like a deer caught in the headlights says it all, guilt, shame and fear. I have lost all respect for him and many others. So watch your little show, say if it was good or not, but don’t praise a piece of shit that helped enable monsters and is case in point a monster themselves for doing so. He looked much more guilty then just being an enabler, he looked more like a willing participant, and I am very good judge at reading people. For many years I have suffered with social anxiety, but it turns out its not anxiety at all, I am empathic, all the feelings that overwhelm me when I am around people are not my own, they are everyone elses, and the feeling I got from watching him squirm was obvious, he is a piece of shit and guilty as fuck.
I think people are reading waaaay too much into this Golden Globes thing.
Maybe he just thought that Gervais tirade was not appropriate to an event of this kind. Personally I loved it but I can understand that someone who has nothing to feel guilty about would think it rude to invite a bunch of people to an event and then proceed to tell them they’re assholes to their faces.
