briefly
the good: What a Great Story! It was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish!
The acting was very good (them brits seem to have penchant for it) and the FX were believable.
the bad: There seemed to be a few editing and continuity errors here and there, nothing overly overt, mind you, but enough to take me out my Suspension of disbelief, if only for a moment.
the ugly: Well not much (if any) of this series had anything truly ugly in it, so I will use this space to nitpick.
The roads, why do these things seem to always get the roads wrong? I mean you can place a walled city or magnificent castle near flawlessly with CGI but you cannot be bothered to do anything with the roads? Gee whiz People, all you had to do was mow that little patch of growth in the middle of nearly every road to show that itβs pre-automobile, but do you? hardly ever
And fire-arrows? seriously fire-arrows? Donβt get me wrong, fire-arrows were real, just not in the way they are portrayed here.
