As a BA in history I understand the annoyance at embellishments, but come on, after a time you just have to drop that jazz. This is called “period drama” for a reason. If you want the true story told A to Z there are several documentaries available for you to scrutinize.
Pretty sure I said I like the series. Also if I want a true story I study and read books.
