This show ruined comedy. It made saying “uhh” and staring blankly into the camera into the height of comedy and it has made comedy writers and producers lazy and talentless. “Just have him say ‘um’ and look awkwardly into the camera”. Americans ripping off British stories because the lack of originality yet again, just like Shameless oof
This show was not “stolen” from the brits, and it has genius writers who use the subtleties of comedy and the characters to make the show good. Of course, a lot of American comedy fails hard, but the Office is quite literally one of the best comedy shows in existence.
