I predict this will be a classic. A rich and deep sci-fi, but also a deep romance/love story. Is it a sci-fi wrapped in a love story or a love story wrapped in a sci-fi? In fact, the love story IS the sci-fi, and vice-versa. A lot to think about and unpack in this haunting tale. Looking back, it was because Jack’s love was so great for Julia that the Tek couldn’t wipe that completely from his memory. And if not for that, the story wouldn’t have unfolded and concluded the way it did. In other words, it was man’s capacity to love greatly - the power of love - that saved humanity.
