Let me break this down even more simpler for you, the fact that they changed everything in the past PROVES my theory. There was no reason to risk innocent people’s lives in the past since they brought future tech and knowledge to prepare them. Did you see all those ill prepared “soldiers” who weren’t even given proper weapons or briefed on the alien monsters to know what they’re fighting?? They had several ways to kill these creatures including missiles and apparently helicopter blades. We have tons of chemical weapons that would’ve worked currently and makes zero sense how people from future were smart enough to build time machine but not smart enough to figure out how to build weapons to kill these creatures. This movie focused on Chris Pratt’s family surrounded by this illogical story making them the heroes which even the creators can’t explain away. They already created an alternate timeline by just going into the past making the future they went to a timeline where they never used a time machine, so those people died for nothing. You think his daughter would’ve remembered that whole different life if that isn’t true??
