Personally I didn’t care for the movie but I don’t get why it’s so polarizing. There was a time when people could find movies, tv shows, anything meh or ok. Now it’s all 1 or 10.

Well said. I don’t really get it either, but thinking you pretty much captured it, either one way all the way or the other, but seems like there is no real room for any middle ground anymore. People can’t just be like ‘meh’ anymore, and I really don’t see why not.
As for me, truth be told I actually liked the first one better. This had a few good points, but rather did like the first one better. Others may have different opinions, clearly, then mine. Fine, I’m good with that. I just don’t get why people are getting at times so clearly bent over if or not someone liked a movie enough or not.
Just makes no sense….
