7.2 out of 10. A good but not great revisiting of the “Everyone tolerates the annoying genius because he always finds the solution” trope (see also House, Sherlock). The show’s major flaw is that it doesn’t know what it is: The basic template — solve a crime, and here are the personal relationships of some of the police officers — is overlaid sometimes with intense levity but sometimes with utter despair, and you can’t do both. The show’s creator needed to pick a tone/mood.
