I almost missed this, if it wasn’t from an earlier comment i would have. its been good but that episode was the best so far. Christopher Heyerdahl played the part well. I cant remember the first time i saw him but hes had some cool parts to play over the past few years

In a lot of ways this season reminded me of “Donnie Darko”, but this is much more graphic. I didn’t care for the second episode, but all the rest have been spectacular.

This is a weird, almost esoteric storyline. Very unconventional for a superhero comics animation. I am really digging it.

“Esoteric”
Still learning new terms. Thanks for that one. I think the story is pretty understandable though. It just keeps revealing itself while you are watching. I bet part 3 will clarify more..

The infamous “Cat in the bag” episode was too disturbing for me, and it still baffles me that they decided to show the scene as graphically as they did. It was a two minutes scene and felt like a lifetime. I think they have decided to edit this episode because I realized they changed the rating from 18 to 16. I can say that the show is well done but I can’t say that I would recommend to watch it. I could live without it.

A horror story about a struggling, Homosexual ,African American, & male “actor” (or wanna be) with an obvious extreme identity disorder with mommy issues, turned to MDK because of his self loathing depressive, easily fixable issues. Just shows you the actual struggles of the black community in an an extreme metaphorical way. bravo. LOL!

ThinMan 2 points 14 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I don’t see the homosexual aspect for Edmund at all. It’s a very multi-faceted series that has a lot going on with each character. I think you need spoiler tags though. I mean that in the most respectful way. (⌒∇⌒)

Bryan Fuller really has great shows, but this one got close to 60 awards. Lee, Anna, Kristen & Chi are super, but Ellen Greene (from Little Shop Of Horrors) with Swoosie as Anna’s peculiar aunts is cartoony casting maybe of a genuis level.

Why just why does this show need to be back for more episodes where the only mystery will be if the show will somehow be worse then it’s first season.

Show is bloody ding-dang wacky. Ellen & Swoosie as the recluse mermaid sisters are perfect, as if out of Tim Burton.

Recently discovered this show and I love it. Hilarious and empowering, it manages to poke fun of stereotypes without offending. I wonder if the creators were influenced by the Indonesian female metal trio Voice of Baceprot? Eagerly awaiting season 2 with cameos from activist Malala Yousafzai and comedian Meera Syal.

Wasn’t very good and the acting was horrible.

Time Trap (2018)
humanityforward2814 1 points 3 years ago.

If it wasn’t for some sub par acting and average special effects this movie would be a 10/10.

It takes a seemingly simple premise and just keeps going with the story far beyond where a normal movies plot would have wrapped things up, and I love it.

Many times when a scfi movie starts getting near the end and a conclusion is in sight, I wonder what comes next, what do the implications of whats happening right now have for the future in this world.

This movie, while low budget, scratched that itch for sure.

This is one of the very few low budget scifi movies Ive watched more than once.

If you arent a fan of the acting in the beginning I would suggest to give it a chance for the story alone.

Hans Zarkov 1 points 15 days ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

I actually thought the opposite (not about the acting, it was pretty bad, especially the one kid that kept slipping in and out of his accent). This movie took a very complex premise and took it exactly nowhere fast.

The premise of the movie is far from simple. It’s not even as simple as Dr. Who/Star Trek time travel. In fact, the premise seems to be that god? aliens? mother nature? some advanced being/beings left behind a fountain of first-person-shooter style power-up water that can heal anything and revive the dead in a matter of minutes, then planted it in a time bubble in a cave to protect it. Even if you skip trying to figure out the physics of how a bubble of slow time can exist in a cave (that’s sort of a description of time within a black hole’s event horizon, actually), you still have to try and roll with never finding out who put the fountain there, why they did it, why they tried to protect it from humans and failed to keep even cavemen away, and about a dozen other questions about the people who did manage to get in and not get out. But the author of the story never actually dives in deep to any of this.
When I got to the end I realized why - I think anyway. I think this was going to be a pilot for a TV series, so they teed up a bunch of questions and mysteries but like a heroin dealer, they just give you a taste at first. If it wasn’t that, then the author had ADD and couldn’t complete a thought before starting on the next one…and then added ALL those thoughts to the plot (wait, time bubbles, paranormal god stuff so they can’t complain about physics. and cavemen! Yeah, then cowboys and conquistadors! Ooh, wait, and there should be future super soldiers and postapocalyptic space people! and the Space Partridge Family! and and and).

Honestly, if you watch the 3rd act of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, you’ll get the general idea of the “Time Trap” in this movie and at least get to see the mysteries solved.

Typical Redbox filler movie. Cheezy enough to slightly enjoy and pass the time.

greyfur 1 points 15 days ago.

Read some of the comments in the IMDb, and seems there are a crapload of books about this agent MR-9, like 500 or more of them, kind of like Mac Bolan back in the day, the way they cranked them out, and a lot of people liked them, but it would seem that they had the funding and the actors to do it right, but just didn’t cut it. I was in it for MJW, always made good movies with great fight’s in them, but this time he just got used for his face and name I think in the movie, and had a small part in it. I stayed with it for as long as I could, but like you said, ‘to slightly enjoy…’.

Sad to see MJW in this movie. Tried to watch this, and actually made it most of the way through, but it became to painful to watch it all the way, and he really had too small a part to really call it one of ‘his’ movies anyway.
