Typical Redbox filler movie. Cheezy enough to slightly enjoy and pass the time.
Read some of the comments in the IMDb, and seems there are a crapload of books about this agent MR-9, like 500 or more of them, kind of like Mac Bolan back in the day, the way they cranked them out, and a lot of people liked them, but it would seem that they had the funding and the actors to do it right, but just didn’t cut it. I was in it for MJW, always made good movies with great fight’s in them, but this time he just got used for his face and name I think in the movie, and had a small part in it. I stayed with it for as long as I could, but like you said, ‘to slightly enjoy…’.
Don’t hold your breath when it comes to hoping that this (and I use the word loosely here) “movie” is going to be any good. “Breathe” is a dumpster fire that will suck the IQ & Oxygen Level out of the room. LOL
Sad to see MJW in this movie. Tried to watch this, and actually made it most of the way through, but it became to painful to watch it all the way, and he really had too small a part to really call it one of ‘his’ movies anyway.

they did the whole story ..
Nuts!…well at least I have season two of Obi Wan Kenobi to look forward to.
This series more than did the book justice. The ending was excellent; powerful, realistic, sad and beautiful.
The sequence being a vision went over my head. I thought it was a flash forward. Thanks for clarifying.
A dead giveaway was you saw him holding the cross Mariko had given him in the scenes of him old, but that cross was dropped into the ocean when they went out to scatter the ashes of her family.
Could be the first and the only scene where Elizabeth Hurley hooks up with another girl
I know Researcher was just messing with you. I was just saying that I wasn’t this time.
There is a lot of in jest messing around that takes place on here that I have read. :) lol
Jest? Jest? I would legitimately wrestle him if I could catch a boat to his landlocked caboose. For good measure, would also bring Sui & her dawgo.
Very fun show LOL But the future is NOT lookin’ good, y’all! We have Cyberdyne, SkyNet, Vought Industries, ConSec, LutherCorp, Banodyne - and now Vault-Tec on the horizon. And those are just some off the top of my head before I’ve had my tea! 😱
We all better bend over and kiss…well, y’all know the rest…
I think we’ll be ok. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dates_predicted_for_apocalyptic_events :)
I’m not offended. The writers of OMintB could well have been inspired by the book. By lack of originality, I only meant that there are some undeniable similarities in the stories and the timing of this coming to the silver screen. TBH, there is very little that is completely original. Nothing new under the sun comes from the bible, and that is most likely a wisdom lifted from somewhere else. Researcher was just messing with me. No offense taken there, either. :)

That was fast & sweet. Thanks for this. You know who you are (hug for you & your family).
Maybe the ‘Only Murders in the Building’ people got the idea from the
‘The Thursday Murder Club book’. :)
My reply was to your comment about ‘kind of a rip off of Only Murders in the building’ and ‘lack of originality’. I was only stating the fact that the book came first with the content. It was not meant as a dig to you as another poster has done.

I’m not the 1st to make the comparison. :)

Ha! You’re slipping, rex!
but would it have gotten a screen adaptation if not for the popularity of OMintB? debatable.

The Thursday Murder Club movie is based on The Thursday Murder Club novel by Pointless and House of Games presenter Richard Osman, and is the first installment in his “Thursday Murder Club” series. It was published on 3 September 2020 which is before Only Murders in the Building aired.

There has been speculation that the long-anticipated 3rd installment of this franchise could finally be happening. Danny Boyle confirmed that he and Alex Garland have had serious discussions about the project and Cillian Murphy has expressed interest in reprising his role. Given the length of time since the 2nd movie and the nature of the Rage virus, the working title will most likely be changed to 28 Years Later.
So it’s kind of a rip-off of Only Murders in the Building. Let’s hope the casting and writing can overcome the lack of originality.
The cinematography, particularly the scenes of a deserted London, is hauntingly beautiful and adds to the overall sense of isolation and desperation. The soundtrack complements the tension perfectly, heightening the impact of each moment.
Overall, “28 Days Later” is a gripping and thought-provoking film that goes beyond typical zombie fare, delving into themes of humanity, resilience, and the lengths people will go to in order to survive. It’s a must-watch for fans of the genre and anyone looking for a thrilling cinematic experience.
s a masterclass in psychological horror that will leave you on the edge of your seat. The film intricately weaves together a haunting narrative with powerful performances, especially from Toni Collette, whose portrayal of a mother grappling with family secrets is nothing short of mesmerizing. The cinematography and sound design create a chilling atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll. Without giving away any spoilers, I can say that “Hereditary” is a gripping and deeply unsettling experience that will stay with you for a long time.
Not casting any aspersions on you, but merely being European doesn’t exclude one from being a xenophobe. lol
You’re absolutely right, being European doesn’t automatically exempt someone from xenophobia. It’s important for all of us to be mindful of our attitudes and actions. Thanks for bringing that up! By the way, have you seen the film
It was an outstanding experience. I’m in Europe, so not at all Xenophobic. I adore other cultures and such… just a background so you get my drift. This film was full to the waterline with action, dramatic friction and mayhem. Watch it, my friend viewer. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family did! ( ✪ワ✪)ノʸᵉᵃʰᵎ
Wow, your enthusiasm really comes through! It’s great to hear that you had such a fantastic experience with the film. I’m definitely intrigued now and looking forward to watching it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Wow, I really enjoyed this. Dev Patel goes right for the heart in his films. Slumdog Millionaire had me glued to the screen and now Monkey Man has done the same. This film was brilliant. I will admit that I watched it because of Dev Patel, but once I started I couldn’t turn away. The action is over the top, but it is the motivation of the main character that captured my interest the most. I am so looking forward to his next project.
Gotta love how magnetic interference is still called “ an anomaly” to this “scientist” 🤣😂🤣
I really liked it. 9.5/10. I take off .5 because Anjin always has the “I smell a fart” face🤣
