I didn’t even know there was a TV show. I loved the films so I’ll have to check these out now.

It is as I expected. While Cavil is much prettier, and easier on the eyes? He just lacks range.
It’s great when he gets typecast to play roles where he stays stone faced, but Liam is just that much more versatile an actor. He maybe should have been cast from the get go, as he even looks more like Geralt of the games than Cavill did.
I agree, if Liam was there from the start, since he looks more like real Geralt, that would be great, and it would sit with me. But, Cavil put pretty good accent on movement, on fight parts, and we all got used to him, the way of walk, speech.., on his preformance and his interpretation and presentation of Geralt. And than this… It is not cool. It is like two different Geralts… They made a huge mistake.
Hear ye! Hear ye! “None of ye shall have ye hair longer or be prettier than thy Witcher Geralt… not his party nor even thine Princess!” By order of the producers!
What a pity, a huge let down to change the lead actor for S4! I know, we all knew this was coming, still! They should have swallowed their pride and kept listening to Cavill. He(msworth) simply can not fight like Cavill obviously: he has a rigidity, a solidity that prevents him flowing in an inherently choreographed, almost dancing manner while fighting as Cavill did. The fighting scenes meant a lot to me. This feels so wrong! The modified recaps at the beginning just made it worse, a voice inside screams “Virus!”. The looks… gone. The voice… horrible: what is that creepy voice dude? I do not want to be prejudiced, but I only watched 9 minutes and am seriously considering leaving it here. I pity Hemsworth for this, after everything, he might need to remove this series from his resume.
This is so bad. so, so bad.. The costume, way of filming, surroundings (almost like the story is in 21st century), and that rig on Liam’s head, good lord, it is like children’s theater play.. And Liam is not good match.. Sorry, Liam. If Liam was the lead from the start, maybe, maybe that would sit, but Cavil put high standards.. I don’t know what to do next.. To write new season 4 with Cavil and to return to original story, and then to continue with the next seasons. This is really not watchable.. They ruined very good series.. I’m so mad and sad..

Started the season not liking Theo. Now I hope he wins the whole thing.
Aside from good weed, yknow what would make this show better? …dirt. yup, people on dirt roads, the townfolk selling stuff on dirty streets, peasants, thieves n robbers living in the forest on? …dirt. Nobody’s dirty! Everyone’s in clean costume, great hair, all white teeth… ironically, ya need a little more dirt to polish this up.
I know what will make this really better. *lights fat blunt… Now to play spot the Game of Throners!
C’mon, did I just see the Wicked Witch of the West fly in on her broom or did I just smoke some good shite? Aaand the next Game of Throner is… the bald peasant antagonist with the alleged zombie cat. The Dog killed him in Game of Thrones, bettin the Asian girl will kill him in this.
I’m not a fan of movies/tv shows with subtitles and this one will be in Dutch. It will be released later this year, probably this fall.
Lol the double does cause trouble on DS9 in this episode. https://www.primewire.tf/tv/10165/star-trek-deep-space-nine-season-3-episode-9
I vaguely remember this one because I have watched SO much Trek since DS9, I watched DS9 first because I heard it was very similar to Babylon 5 which I also loved. Londo and G’Kar have one of the most immersive and emotionally moving arcs in sci fi television in my opinion.
Finally its here….heard somewhere that this actually is Famke her first ever Dutch Title…hard to believe..looks pretty good and all episoes are here at once…
I think it comes up in a couple of the movies, Star Trek Generations and Star Trek First Contact
Oh awesome!!!!! I know the whole emotion thing might seem trivial but the fact that they do touch on it later on solidifies they further explore Data becoming human, which is one of my favorite arcs in this series. Very similar to Seven’s desire for individuality.
You can tell these are being written and direct€d by women unlike season 1

okay I tried watching this not many years ago when I was beginning to really like Sam Rockwell. I got maybe 20 mins. into it and lost interest? I can’t remember if I thought it didn’t measure up to the original or what. This time I’m watching it all the way through and I’ll give my honest opinion at that time. Here it goes.
What am I missing here? What is the actual appeal for this show? I’m sorry, I’m not trying to talk down on stuff people like, but I honestly just don’t get it. Why do people think this is good in any way?
I liked Henry Cavill in the role and it was fun to watch the first season. But the next two seasons were uninteresting (that’s on the writing) and the change to Hemsworth hasn’t made it any better. That was the appeal for me, but I won’t watch the rest of the season.
It really does. A violent one, but still.
It’s always been kinda half baked which is so annoying. Even this season, the threat never feels big but maybe that’s the point. I remember previews last year for season 6. It looks like it has promise. Maybe they upped the budget?
maybe its the lack of music to cue the watcher when something dramatic is happening ?? I like the no music in the background ..
It sort of is a romance novel now. Hero rescuing maidens in distress, and all that.
But why does Ciri have a side part and shorter hair? Yen and Geralt at least look like themselves.
Everyone in Geralt’s party has hair cut shorter too. Looks silly, like “Ye Witcher Shall Be The One With Ye Long Hair, Lest Ye Steal His Pretty Thunder!”
I dunno, maybe all the new actors need time to gel together and it’ll get better… kinda like Babylon 5. The best parts were the dwarves n’ swearin’ parrot. I dig girls kissin’ but if ya gotta resort to that to keep the audience attention, ya need better acting and storyline.
That’s ancient history, and any actual fan of the source material has seen that.
Again, I came to watch the Discount Hemsworth in the first episode, to form an opinion, and that opinion is that He made an excellent hobbled, dude-bro Geralt. Which is about what I expected and then-some.
Right, he clearly is doing it better than Henry, who - despite anything the character goes through, unlike in the books, is unable to show any semblence of conflict. Just constantly impassive faced, because - lets face it, Cavil’s career is based on his being pretty, and nothing else. It’s the reason every film he’s the star in, either flops or massively underperforms, falls well short of any expectations. He shines in small does - as in, not the lead.. but he was never going to be able to sustain an entire series, especially with the character arc given.
Like a male Gal Gadot, just no range.
You could just watch the original tv series of The Witcher, as a fan. https://www.primewire.mov/tv/103416-wiedzmin

I explained why I came to watch a single episode. I’m going to move past that passive aggressive snark.
They didn’t “change a few little things here and there” from book to show.
They DECIMATED every single aspect of the story, thanks.
Enjoy your “90’s Fabio on the Cover” slop.

I think most of the fascination comes from those who love the Book Series, and when Henry Cavill played the lead as Geralt, he embodied the character so well, it was amazing to watch. Liam Hemsworth does alright, but most of the magic is gone without Cavill. He totally made the show what it was. It’s not Liam’s fault however, he had the odds stacked against him trying to fill Cavill’s shoes. It’s almost suicide to change the lead character in the middle of a series and expect the same enthusiasm and satisfaction. Cavill tried to keep the story line as close as possible to the books, but the writers have changed the stories to almost unrecognizable, and they’re trying to make all the characters gay. I will still watch, but many now refuse to since Cavill’s departure. 🙁
Good take, and I would have agreed about the lesser Hemsworth, but he decided to crash out on the die-hard fans before the season aired, AND he admitted to the same thing the showrunners and crew did by not referencing or knowing the source material or having even watched the show.
He kinda screwed himself there… It was a bad look.
Is it just me or does the new pic for the series look like the front cover of a romance novel?

I read a lot, but I never read these books and I don’t game, so this is very good to me. Sometimes, I’ll go read the books after the series ends, so I can get all the little details that TV and movie always miss. But each to their own. If you don’t like it, there are a ton of other shows here for you to watch. :)

Us fans of the AMAZING top-tier books and games?
We hated everything after season 1.
You’re accurate.
Anyone raving about this series? They’re the types who can’t be bothered with source material (and are likely incapable of reading anything with substantive depth) at all.
I came for the first episode so I could see the absolute ridiculousness of the Great Value Brand Hemsworth taking on a character leagues beyond his range. And it’s worse than I could’ve ever anticipated.
They’ve turned the main character of the entire thing into a halfass supporting role at best, some kind of background dude-bro, and now it’s girlboss slop. Pfft.

I really like Liam in this. Geralt is sad and incapacitated, so he doesn’t have the swagger he did in the first three seasons, but Liam does swagger pretty well from what I’ve seen of him, so he could do that if it gets back to being that guy. All of their characters have changed, probably from grief and fear that they will never see each other again.

Each to his own. Have you watched any of the earlier seasons? If not, you cannot understand why we like it. Some have read the books, and like the story. I just like fantasy stories, and this one is particularly interesting to me. Some fantasy series don’t hold my attention. This one did. One man against the world, sort of.
I would never let my double just walk off with my face like that man lol,

Crazy couple of episodes. Poor Data in his life long journey to become human his first experience has to be manipulation and narcissism. I hope to see Data come back to exploring the integration of this emotion chip that Geordi kept for him. Brent Spiner is an amazing actor.

I think it has to do with the games and books makes people feel more apart of the world. Only played Witcher 3 which I did enjoy as i seem to say a lot lately. I’m glad I gave it try.

Bradley is such a selfish/self centered jerk, she’s always willing to set the house of fire regardless if it damages her own company but now all of sudden she is uncertain? hey went out of her way to save her own brother but can’t do it for the name of journalism/journalism integrity. horrible person. and wow Alex really does as chip said, “really has the WORST TASTE in men” can she ever not cross the line with subject or coworker?
