Now in his thirties and ostracized by many of his old friends, he travels 500km to his hometown to stage a sequel for a legendary gig that happened over a decade before. The "future" is told through the upstart agency Legacy CO, formed by a young group of friends with the lofty goal of making the Vietnamese metal scene internationally relevant. The boys attempt to make it financially viable to be a metal musician, pushing against an indifferent and sometimes hostile society while balancing their university coursework. They battle against flaky promoters, power cuts and missing instruments in their struggle to promote the genre they love.

He died a mythological death from a heroin overdose in 1993, aged 37. Directed by the award-winning director Sami Saif, THE ALLINS is a loving and entertaining look at the family of the departed rock singer. Twenty years on from his all too premature passing in 1993, we meet GG's mother Arleta and brother Merle, each of whom in their own personal way has tried to come to terms with GG's death. Arleta tackles her grief by having her son's gravestone removed from the cemetery in New Hampshire. She is tired of watching his fans pay tribute to GG by vandalizing his grave. That is not the son she wants to remember. She wants to remember GG, the man - a loving son and brother. Brother Merle, on the other hand, keeps himself and the myth about the world's most destructive rock'n roll musician going by selling merchandise and by breathing life into their old joint band, Murder Junkies. As the family story unfolds - from an impoverished childhood ruled by a tyrannical, brutal father to an adult life marked by a complete lack of boundaries, which in GG's case ended in drugs, violence and prison - Arleta and Merle try to find themselves and their common past.

Over 50 press publications were invited resulting in some of the most famous photographs ever taken of Marilyn. 60 years later many of these amazing color photographs surfaced for the first time. Along with remastered 16mm color footage of the party, Marilyn and I captures a piece of Americana with Ray Anthony as its hero encompassing some 80 years of his life. At 18, Ray Anthony was playing trumpet in the Glenn Miller Band. In his 90's he is best friends with Hugh Hefner and regularly plays tennis with Berry Gordy (who gives a rare interview in this film). His is the story of America with some of its most legendary icons front and center. With a soundtrack that incorporates Ray's incredible Big Band career, Marilyn and I is a celebration of 20th century American culture and an ode to an artist that deserves his rightful place among the greats of his time.
