These homeowners love to cook and bake but find that their tired and outdated kitchen just isn't working. The peninsula cuts the kitchen in half, leaving very little work space for prepping pastry or nightly dinners. To help alleviate the tight quarters, the peninsula is removed and new floor cabinets are installed, giving a more open feel and adding storage. A bright solid surface comes in to replace cracked counter tiles, and old flooring is transformed with wide wooden planks. Then, open shelving made with salvaged lumber replaces the old cabinets. Finally, a built-in pantry is removed and replaced with a repurposed piece of furniture. |
