While driving home from work one afternoon, an office manager named Oliver Pope accidentally hits a young child on a bike with his car. The following morning, as his wife reads the morning paper, it is reported that the child isn't expected to survive and a business rival of Oliver was arrested for the crime. Oliver then thinks he got away with the hit and run, but his car won't let him have the other man take the blame. |
