Maggie Kring and Kai travel to the Carpathians. There the siblings try to find out who the mysterious man is who came to the Oderbruch with their father in 1947 as a former war deserter. In Romania, however, they initially encounter a wall of silence. Roland Voit follows Maggie's trail - even though he was suspended from the case. He discovers the body of a murdered teenager in the forest hut. When his Polish colleague Stanislaw Zajak tracks him down, Voit has no choice: he has to play with open cards. Zajak confides in him a theory about similar unsolved and mysterious murder cases in other countries, forcing Voit to help find Kai. |
