…which was a total wash, earned a solid 10% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and won a Golden Raspberry. William Peter Blatty described watching that film as, and I quote, “the most humiliating professional experience.” Now this film didn’t rank much higher—movies like this aren’t everyone’s cuppa tea and I’m sure people will be along shortly to inform us how uncool Satan is and how our souls are in peril for even watching this—but, having done my due diligence with that disclaimer, this film is head and shoulders above the prior attempt. It manages to be a completely different film while being the same exact footage. It’s downright flabbergasting what you can do if you hire a competent editor.
