Intense movie & very well done. I watched this because I like Aaron Taylor-Johnson who starred in the ‘Kickass’ movies in ‘10 & ‘13. He directed as well as stars in this movie. Been meaning to watch this for some time & finally watched the 1st hour. Well done but a pretty gritty portrayal & not for the faint of heart. The cast is amazing w/many well known faces playing smaller roles. Worth a watch.
I did find the 2nd hour of the movie to be rather tedious & nowhere near as good as the first hour. It just seemed to drag too much in many places. Still, I’m glad I finally saw it. Apparently the writer of the book lied about many of the details in his book & Oprah called him out on it after choosing it as her book club selection.
