I’d sure like to see some light at the end of this doomsday tunnel, but don’t think that’s going to happen. This show is excellent, but so dang dark.

expresso 1 points 12 days ago.

Yeah, this is just so persistently grim. I felt the same way about The Penguin. Really well made and interesting, but emotionally it’s a chore to watch like a weekly dose of classic Greek tragedy. If I watch it Sunday night I don’t fall asleep for a couple of hours which is killer on a work night.

i wish they would stop showing closeups of ricks face. minimum of at least 25 feet. my god man, he looks like he did the 100 yd dash in a 90 yd gym. I personally think he got the absolute snot beat out him the year he took off, and he seems to look worse every week. i too hope he hits it big just so he can get reconstructed. No more coke 4 U.

This was a good show, will miss it. I know it says ‘running’ still, but went and checked, and this is it, there will be no 4th season, which I expected.

Watched the first one, stunning action set-pieces with less conversations. And main lead’s intense looks/glares does all the pulsation in the veins to the core. WOW!

Predator: Badlands (2025)
Arcangel2020 -3 points 13 days ago.

I went into this one with low expectations, having not been very impressed by what I saw in the Trailer for it prior to being released….was it going to be as BAD as “Predator 2”, “The Predator” and “AvP: Requiem”?
It actually turned out to be pretty good, I was pleasantly surprised. The storyline was good, the main Predator character not wearing the Iconic Predator Hunter helmet actually worked, the Thea Sim character also worked (although there was a few moments of “Humor” which made me roll my eyes at it silliness) and I also liked the bit of “Alien: Earth “ vibe it had in it too.
Once again, Director Dan Trachtenberg did a really good job when it came to the Yautja and I am hoping there will be more from him in the future.

pretty much completely different to how i imagined it, or even how i remember. but a fantastic retelling, terrific performances, sound design, cinematography, the outfits, the shots, the sets etc all great to complement a solid retelling of a difficult but significant story.

Nia DaCosta who directed will also direct https://www.primewire.mov/movie/1513909-28-years-later-the-bone-temple written by Alex Garland which should be interesting

in one interview tessa thompson said nina hass said she played hedda for six years straight

What a disgrace. 🫣 The shootout was abysmal, totally unbelievable Donald Duck level poo.. 💩 And WHY? 😳 Laziness? Incompetence?
This essentially reduced the whole series to Elsbeth level stuff. 🦆 (Yeah.. I shouldn’t have had any illusions. Or hope.) This was not acting, it was a geriatric slobber fest where our “hero” wasn’t even allowed to stumble or even less to sneeze. Make a wax doll for god’s sake, and be done with it. And shoot me first.

Such a great creepy film. The slow dawning of what is happening makes it so good. Paxton is so believable & in his character is so married to his beliefs. The 2 young actors do a great job too. I need to watch it again since it’s been quite awhile since I first saw it.

Pluribus (2025) S1 E4
Rodreko 1 points 13 days ago.

I can think of a lot worse situations to be stuck in than this. I mean, you could have to live in Detroit. Frankly, she has a real shit attitude about it. No zombies are trying to eat her brains and no plague is killing off the human race and she doesn’t need to worry about being infected or what she can eat. She could live in a vacation paradise if she wanted to and be waited on hand and foot. Hardly the apocalypse. She could have her own flight crew and travel the world to interesting places for the rest of her life if she wanted to. But no. She has to be a total shit every second of the day.

Pluribus (2025) S1 E4
TommyKnockerA.D 0 points 15 days ago.

This Show has started to be come WEIRDLY Interessting and Mind opening , for whatever that means :-).
I could be Carol XD , I to don´t see a GOOD Reason why there should be World Peace. I´m not a friend of Conflict or War or whatever , but we Humans thrive on Conflict , we need it , it that part which makes US , US! To DISAGREE with somerone or something is part of or own Protection System. You can´t force Happiness its something that each and everyone of us has to find for themselves. The Show does open a different point of View .

Rodreko -1 points 13 days ago.

The reason we have wars, is because some people can never be satisfied with what they have. They always want more. They want more to be happy. When everyone is happy all the time and share experiences and memory, there is no longer self and no longer an individual drive for more. There is no longer a need for more. It can be argued that this condition is unnatural and not human, but that wouldn’t matter either as long as you are a part of the whole.

because nowadays people dont vote for a good movie or anything else that is good, they only believe in what there told and go by that instead of watching it themselves, this is there world now to believe in what they are told…unlike us clued up people who do not believe in what we are told unless we can see with our own eyes…and make our own minds up

The Morning Show (2019) S4 E10
Yurocalling 2 points 14 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

well during the season, Bradley gets contacted by that former British producer who used to work on the morning show who was digging into this secret pollution scandal. Yanko’s ex Claire. Brdley threw hr under the bus when she called the feds on her. Bradley completely justifies it but only because she had to save her own skin, and once she’s locked up in Belarus (total propaganda using Belarus and Iran as the most evil countries in the world lol) once Bradley is locked up in Belarus all of a sudden she’s the martyr for freedom of the press and whistblowers when she literally threw one of her own under the bus. Without Claire Bradley had no story to chase, so its crazy how the writers somehow forgot that.

Jirido 1 points 13 days ago.

yeah, you are right. Very shitty thing to do. It went over very quickly. But wasn’t the shame over it a driver for Bradly at some later point in the script (no defence)? As you say.. The normally promoted “American way”.. Me first, give me the hay! But for sure a weak point in the script.. No shining hero.

yep! this was a B-MOVIE and B as in baaaaaaaaaaaaaad haha! honestly there’s been a huge avalanche of the “horror/comedy drama films”” films that are horror but have comedic elements to it and have over the top violence, personally I’m just not into those kind of movies but lately every other film or every third movie that gets made is that kind of film AND IF YOU LIKE THOSE kind of movies you’ll like this. for me…ehhh not my thing but hey got an excuse to see Rachel Ziegler who I have soft spot even though she has yet to really star in a movie I like. Snow White with her would’ve been great if not for all the cringey music.
