Norton doesn’t really like his job. He works at a call center in Heaven where he listens to prayers and prioritizes them. Most of the prayers he gets are for football games and lottery tickets, and he is starting to lose faith in humanity. At the end of a particularly taxing day Norton leaves early only to return the next day and find that he missed an important prayer. He decides to travel to Earth to fix the problem before he gets in trouble with his boss, but that means talking to the man who made the important prayer and convincing him to stop praying. |
