After being sentenced to community service for an altercation outside a bar, Los Angeles firefighter RICHY LOVO cuts a deal to serve his time by taking in his drug addict sister—AMITY LOVO. Only once Amity arrives, Lovo discovers she’s the recent victim of a sexual assault in their New Hampshire hometown. Attempting to swallow his anger to better care for her, Lovo watches a life that was once dominated by violence, alcoholism, and loneliness change—until Amity’s ex-boyfriend, a scumbag from their hometown, arrives in LA. Unable to control himself any further, Lovo begins a slow, tragic descent back into his old, Achillean self. |
