Details:

Although East 29th Street in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn may look different today than in the 1930s and 40s, the neighborhood hasn’t changed a bit in regard to its residents’ pride in family, community, and country, as well as their belief in education, hard work, and the American dream. Twins, Jack and Jim, return to Brooklyn and the street where they lived from 1928 to 1955, and share stories of their past with two current residents, covering a range of topics from The Great Depression and World War II, to how to play stoopball and stickball. The four briefly discuss the paths of their families and the special and unique bond that develops in a tight-knit, urban community such as 29th Street in Flatbush.
