Details:

‘Hallo New York’ is an interview program hosted by Marianne Hettinger. Each episode is 26 minutes long, featuring one or two guests per episode. Hallo New York was premiered in the German movie theatre, ‘Liliom’ in Augsburg, March 2013. On the show Hettinger, who holds dual citizenship, American and German, interviews inspiring New Yorkers, artists, famous and non-famous in her Manhattan studio. 8-26 minute interviews covering career highlights, life story, issues of the day, current projects and what it was like to come to New York to live their dream. All the guests have in common, that they came to New York, pursued their dreams in the Big Apple and excel in their chosen field. The show is framed with humor, highlighting the fact that it is an old brownstone building that the host lives in, and something always needs fixing. Ms. Hettinger lets a red feather boa from her showgirl days, to which a key is attached, down the facade of her building, to let her interview guests in, since the buzzer is broken. Some of her guests break out into song, like the famous composer, writer, lyricist, singer, Broadway star and American diva, Ann Hampton Callaway and the wonderfully talented son of the legendary Jerry Orbach, actor, singer and composer Chris Orbach, who also dances with the host.
