‘Stiff’ tells the story of Tholang, an undertaker in Soweto, South Africa. He’s great with death, but not particularly good with life. Things go awry when his niece arrives to apprentice under him and manages to lose the corpse of an important politician. Over the course of this adventure Tholang must face what he has been avoiding all these years. ‘Stiff’ was produced in Johannesburg, South Africa as part of the Focus Features Africa First program. |
