“South Africa: From the City, to the Slum, to the Savannah” is a short documentary which takes you on a compelling journey through the diverse and remarkable contrasts of South Africa. Although a country with one of the world’s most beautiful cities, it is stricken with poverty and disease, and is the home to an unmatched ecosystem. Filmed at age 14, and compiled and edited at 17, solo filmmaker Roman Dent captures some of the faces and landscapes that reside in this multifaceted culture, all through the intimate eyes of a lens. |
