‘Live from studio 409, this is the all new Wheeler School Broadcasting.’ On The Air, is a short documentary about Wheeler School Broadcasting, a unique opportunity offered at the Wheeler School in Providence Rhode Island. The program is designed so students can learn first hand how to broadcast live either on radio or television. This documentary is the first production to be released from this incredible, student driven course. Through direct and honest accounts, On The Air, takes viewers through the incredible story of how one student’s dream of learning about radio turned into the birth of 88.1 WELH Providence, and with help from many along the way, how a small school radio station turned into a full fledged communications program.
