Ezra Gibson and Cyrus Duffie aren’t having the best of days. Cyrus is certain Ezra cheated in poker the night before and has come to retrieve his money…at gun point. Ezra takes great pride in his superior poker skills and thinks Cyrus should accept the fact he’s a lousy poker player who struggles with arithmetic. To make matters worse, the two men are now stuck between the Union army from Colorado and the Confederate troops from Texas… The two men argue, occasionally firing shots at each other while debating the finer points of poker theory. They pause to shoot as soldiers scramble over the edge of their arroyo and then resume their heated debate. What becomes clear is the only way either man will escape is if they can give each other ground. Are they willing to put aside their pride to survive?
