In the lack of any outside influence, eleven-year old Abel lives in a perfectly sterile and secluded world created by his protective parents. An only child, he is home-schooled and taught to distrust anyone outside the family unit. Traveling in the family’s camper-van to observe a solar eclipse, his growing curiosity can no longer be contained. Unskilled in the most basic forms of human interaction, and against the barriers carefully placed by his parents, Abel sets out on his own expedition. Can eleven-years of learning by the book prepare him for what he is about to encounter? |
