HET is an upside-down look at the journey of a young couple making the transition from city life to the quiet suburbs of a small conservative town. A seemingly simple task of walking home, interspersed with a series of interviews of members of the close knit community provides the backdrop for an exploration of prejudice, hatred, sexual preference and community. This mockumentary turns the world on its head in order to give us a different perspective from which to ask: What is normal? What is moral? Who’s right is right? |
