The Sqweakening is a film made by Summer Film School (a partnership between Colourburn and Exeter Phoenix) - a project for 8 to 12 year olds, giving them the chance to gain a full fat film making experience. Over a week during July 2014, kids were given the chance to partake in every step of film making. This included script treatment, set design, sound, lights and camera work. The course proved to be a fantastic opportunity for kids to take ownership and make a film with professionals from the industry. It was really beneficial for kids to learn about making a film in a practical way, which gave them a first hand experience of all the work that goes into making a film. |
