Return to Sender asks the question - how much obligation do we have to the people we were once closest to? This is a film about two estranged childhood best friends who reunite for one night. Jo, about to turn 28, has recently suffered a nervous breakdown and has moved in with her retired parents in Long Island. She’s listless and spends her days selling her childhood belongings on ebay. Not able to rouse her from her funk, her parents decide to surprise her for her 28th birthday by inviting her childhood best friend, Hannah, out to Long Island from Manhattan for dinner. Hannah, feeling obligated agrees to come. Their reunion brings up old emotions and questions of loyalty.
