The village of Rais Ser in Rajasthan illustrates the problems of water scarcity. Pump-driven wells and canals, new strains of wheat and grass, soil testing, fertilizers, tractors, cross breeding and training in farming techniques transform crop, cattle, sheep and buffalo farming. |
