Details:

BREATHING, based upon the story, Carnivore by Lillian Taylor Stajnbaher, is a coming of age story about Brandy and Mohammed, two adolescents from very different cultures who cannot stand idle while those who they love are traumatized by social injustice. The teens take radical action against the very authority figures that are failing to protect them. The duo team up, and pretend to be recruited by a domestic terrorist group intent on bombing civilian targets in the US. They turn the table, setting their sights on the terrorists themselves ultimately saving hundreds of lives, but have taken their hatred near the point of no return, when they are finally shown the light by Brandy’s father, Yeshua. Their journey is a wake-up call to those neglecting and abusing authority, and excusing this misconduct with faux claims to a moral high ground. With the daily stories profiled on the news about school shootings, church bombings, and the rampant abuse of authority, BREATHING is a film that will resonate strongly with those witnessing and being victimized by the violent acts rampant in today’s society.
