The cove is a prison. Her memories are shackles. Catherine is trapped, in a world between places. Unable to leave the place of her child’s death, she seeks memories of the past; each brief recollection now her only connection to Eli. Yet as the past resonates, it gradually fades. It is Eli’s would-be birthday and something has stirred within Catherine. But after retreating into memory for so long, reality can be a hard truth. |
