‘A Nation Mourns When Angels Fall’ JUNTA is a political thriller about Argentina’s military dictatorship. Maria and her adopted son Ariel seek justice for the family and friends whom had disappeared over more than thirty ago. In 1977 the military junta holds Maria’s family hostage in an attempt to arrest as many political enemies as they can in one swoop. Maria escapes the assault but her best friend Berta falls victim to El Capitan. Maria is left with Berta’s baby and with that the responsibility of parenthood and the strength to survive. Thirty years later the judge calls the verdicts and justice is redeemed. The prosecution of 18 military generals and navy officers, who had committed crimes against humanity, have recently been judged.
