Living in the shadow of the war their father died in, two siblings wrestle with the consequences of their country’s violent past. When Tamara’s indoctrination of her younger brother is interrupted by a romance at school, both redemption and tragedy struggle to overtake all their lives. Filmed on location in post-civil war Guatemala, ‘Guns’ stars and was co-written by the daughter of a Sandinista guerrilla and shot using all local student cast and crew. |
