Summer in Sydney. It hasn’t rained in weeks. An immigrant widow, Marion, travels every day to clean for a reclusive blind man, Oscar. Both are lonely, disconnected and on the outskirts of society. Marion struggles in the sighted world, confronted with her fading looks, Oscar is a bitter and self punishing alcoholic.
