Details:

The dramatic comedy begins with the death of celebrated screen writer Nik Schiltz, who leaves behind a final script to be given to the highest bidder in a blind auction. John Meinkin, of Newtone Pictures, places the winning bid, acquiring the script for his company. After reading the script, Newtone’s executives understand why it was released via blind auction - it sucks. Stuck with this certain failure, Newtone hires Baker Ildon as a scapegoat and director of the film. However, Ildon, a first time director, brings along some heavy personal issues, and they have guns. In a fund raising mishap, he has unknowingly set the scene for an all out battle between two militant separatist groups. Soon, the movie shoot gets underway, complete with a pricey cameo from a big star. Several months, one cameo, a job promotion and a firing later, the movie enters the editing bay. As the movie nears completion, the Newtone execs realize one poor director’s career will not be enough of a sacrifice for this crime against cinema. When one sacrifice fails where else is there to turn, but to Cabalism. Baker, John and a rag tag group of Hollywood denizens race against time to save one man’s career and one man’s last mark on the world. What happens if a bad script, sacred ancient rites, and two militant separatist groups are given a first time director and a $60 million budget? Most of them will end up On the Cutting Room Floor.
