Details:

Refugees are by far the most vulnerable sections of the community in terms of identifying and seeking help for mental health problems. Refugees face a triple whammy of compounded mental health problems. Firstly refugees suffer severe mental health problems in their country of origin when facing persecution or impact of war. Secondly the trauma of seeking asylum. Thirdly if successful in their asylum they face severe mental health issues in settling into a totally new society with often limited knowledge of the language or how to deal with the bureaucracy of obtaining access to basic services. This DVD contain interviews with refugees and service providers talking about what refugees can do to cope, gain mental wellbeing to live productive lives.
