The Northern Sporades Islands in the Aegean have recently been transformed into one of the Mediterranean’s most unique and spectacular wildlife sanctuaries for the Study and Protection of the Monk Seal. This programme tells the story of the rescue of orphaned monk seal pups and how they are nursed back to health and returned to the wild providing a beacon of hope for the survival of Europe’s most endangered marine mammal. |
