Set in group therapy, the women discuss their feelings of culpability and self-worth after they were raped. The story is told through the eyes of Sarah, who is caught between reality and her past, when she was sexual assaulted. The movie begins with the counselor asking Sarah what she was wearing; a loaded question that permeates the film. The women battle within themselves and with each other, ultimately finding support in one other; the audience not only bares witness to the start of a sisterhood, but also gains insight into what constitutes rape. This film aims to empower women that sexual abuse is never your fault because your no means something and we are more than what we wear. |
