Details:

In a 5-4 Supreme Court decision, federal justices concede American institutions and citizens have buried racism; that we are at a post racial time in history as evidenced by President Barack Obama. But immediately after it stripped a key section of the Voting Rights Act, states aggressively rushed to change voting rules. Some believe it adversely affects the progressive shift in American democracy. Residue examines the notion of ‘post-racism’ from the perspective of a diverse public, and reveals candid conversations about race and democracy. Only this time around, adverse public policy is not just a Black thing; it’s an All-American phenomenon wherein the civil liberties of a growing majority are under siege.
