Who is watching over our precious waters? On New York’s Hudson River that man is John Lipscomb of New York Riverkeeper. Behind the scenes work is carried out by John on patrol to insure polluters don’t wreak havoc on our fragile ecosystem. Over the course of a frosty day in early December, he and the filmmaker travel up the Hudson in a skiff and sneak onto Army Corp of Engineers land to document a dump site. In the process, what is revealed is both the stark natural beauty of the surrounding environment and the imminent threat to that environment by housing developments and polluters alike.
