James Simpson aspires to be a famous actor. Jamie Gilbert had a dream of joining the police. Circumstance makes it hard for either man to achieve their dreams. However neither man is willing to let go of their desires without a fight. Simpson desperately accepts an unusual role in a production directed by the mysterious Mr J, a man fascinated by the human character. Gilbert takes the law into his own hands as a masked vigilante, with the help of Clive, a friend in the police. In return, Clive asks Gilbert to help him track down a serial killer, who removes a body part from each of his victims. A strange coincidence causes the men’s paths to cross, but when the plot darkens, questions start to arise about what is fiction, what is reality, and whether the truth about the murderer will ever be revealed?
