The international world of Elvis congregates in Memphis to exchange memories and scarves, adorn 70s fashion, sing ‘Hunka Hunka Burning Love”‘ and commune with the spirit of the dead King. The event provokes tears and emotion as revelers sob and sell their way into the pages of Elvis history. The pilgrimage culminates in a candlelight vigil from the street, past the pearly gates of Graceland, up the narrow driveway to the hallowed grave of Elvis. Comedienne and goddess, Judy Tenuta, escorts us through a macabre cult of personalities from Alaska to Pakistan to Australia to Japan. |
