Set in West Philadelphia, this short film depicts the generation of corner store kids today. It illustrates the atrocious state of school lunches and follows one school’s effort to turn around their lunch program. Juxtaposing the corner store with the school cafeteria, the film highlights why children are relying on the local corner store for their daily intake of food and meals. Starring Russell Simmons, Sally Fallon, Anna Lappe, US Congressman Chaka Fattah and local high school students, this film is a must see for anyone who believes good food is a civil right. |
