Rural Wisconsin present day. It’s a beautiful day, but a seemingly calm before a storm. Colt is a young and handsome man about the age of twenty-five. His grandfather, Papa is in his mid-seventies and weathered. Papa has raised Colt from a baby. One afternoon Papa finds that his mortality is rapidly closing in on him and chooses to reveal the one and only secret that he has kept from his loving grandson. Papa caught Colt’s mother putting Colt into a dumpster when he was just an infant and murdered her. |
