John Denver hosted several memorable variety specials during the mid-1970s. This one featured the Starland Vocal Band, who had a big hit with “Afternoon Delight” the summer this special aired. John also invited his friend Dennis Weaver to join him in singing “Hollywood Freeway,” composed by Weaver. When John Denver and Joanne Woodward got together sparks flew. A special guest on the John Denver Show (its correct title) was Jaws. Enjoyable family entertainment for all.
